There are two types of people in this world: those who love pulp and those who hate it. Pulp-haters, listen up.

There are two types of people in this world: those who love pulp and those who hate it. My coworker, Marianne, hates pulp with a passion. But although I personally I love pulp (it's like having extra little bursts of flavor in my drinks!) I definitely see how it can creep people out to have little unknown floating chunks in their drinks. I have learned that pulp is not only very tasty (sorry Marianne), but it's a beneficial addition to your diet and also, quite surprisingly, your skin routine. Yes, you read that right. Just like other natural items you can use to pamper your face, such as honey or sweaweed, the benefits of the pulp can transfer to your face and make your skin glow. Pulp is bursting with good things like vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium. However, pulp is relatively difficult to obtain in consistent quantities. If I were to separate pulp from fresh juice to use on my skin, I wouldn't be able to drink it (and I'd have to drink so much juice to balance it out!). It's also surprisingly hard these days to get juice with pulp from the grocery store -- it seems like the pulp-haters are taking over the world and reducing the demand for pulp. But don't worry. I wouldn't tell you about all of the wonders of pulp and leave you high and dry. Here are some awesome products that take care of all of your pulp needs -- both for diet and your skincare! Listen up.
SKIN
Blithe Vital Treatment Pulp Essence - 8 Nourshing Beans This 'pulp' essence features beads of
Vitamin E featuring eight
bean extracts to
hydrate and
brighten skin. It contains eight different peptide and vitamin-rich beans, including lentils, black beans, and red beans.
Primary Raw DoYou Azulene Gel Cream This gel cream is formulated with bamboo sap and azulene, a compound distilled from steamed
chamomile flowers. Vitamin micro-beads create a pulp in the hydrating gel base. The beads burst and blend with the gel to soften, hydrate, and plump the skin from within!
Even better, both of these products are paraben, synthetic dye, and mineral oil free! If you'd like to know more about this type of product, you can read all about it on Glow Recipe's blog

DRINKS
SAC SAC (ORANGE DRINK) Sac Sac is a
refreshing and sweet orange drink that is literally
filled with pulp. My first sip of this drink was
fully saturated with it, and that was just at the top. As I got to the bottom, the pulp concentration became more dense because of all of the little pieces that sunk to the bottom. I would recommend to
shake well before drinking it to get a balanced amount of the delicious pulp in each sip!
BONG BONG (GRAPE DRINK) This grape drink is a thirst-quenching grape juice with
actual grapes in it! The juice itself is not too sweet, so the pieces of grape provide
fiber and more sweetness. Since it's a hot summer, this would definitely be a nice, chill drink to sip on.
SIKHYE (MALTED RICE DRINK) Sikhye is a Korean
malted rice drink. Yes, we said
rice. Don't get weirded out, once you get used to it, you'll want more! Although it is traditionally family-made at home, sikhye now comes conveniently in a can. The
fiber and
antioxidants in this drink
helps digestion, and it's said to aid in
relieving hangovers as well!
