1) Bau House
Bau House is one of the most popular dog cafes, making it a go-to cafe for dog lovers. Admission is free with the purchase of one drink. Although some of the dogs at Bau House are permanent residents, they are always welcoming new furry friends to play and socialize with, given that they meet a list of qualifications. If you are looking for a calm, quiet cafe, this place is not the place for you. Here, you will have tons of furry friends constantly seeking your love and attention.

2) CATDOG Café
Can’t decide whether you are a dog person or a cat person? Why not both?! This cafe in downtown Daegu has one floor dedicated to dogs and one floor dedicated to cats. It’s the best of both worlds. Admission is 8,000 KRW; however, a drink is included with the admission fee. Bags of treats are also available for 3,000 KRW. They also provide modesty aprons for girls who come wearing skirts or dresses to ensure that they are most comfortable when interacting with the dogs and cats.

3) Thanks Nature Café
Located below a yogurt shop, Thanks Nature Cafe, you will be able to interact with a soft, gentle sheep. With a couple of mellow, furry friends comes a warm, calm ambiance. Admission is free with the purchase of a menu item. The menu consists of coffee, tea, toast, bingsu and waffles topped with fruit and ice cream.

4) Meerkat Friends
Meerkat Friends is a special cafe where you can interact with unique furry friends such as a few meerkats, an arctic fox, a genet, and a raccoon. Admission is included in the prices of their coffee and tea choices. For the safety of the animals, guests are given a list of rules to read. Unfortunately, children under the age 15 are not allowed into the cafe; however, given the types of animals that are in the cafe, this rule is understandable.

5) Wanggwan House
Wanggwan House (왕관하우스) is a cafe where you can meet parrots, finches, and cockatoos. Admission is 5,000 KRW, but comes with a drink of your choice. The parrot cafe’s drink menu has a wide variety ranging from coffee to juice. In addition to being a cafe, they also are a store where you can purchase items such as food supplies and toys. You can even purchase some snacks to feed the birds for 1,000 KRW.

6) Blind Alley
When visiting Blind Alley, you will get to meet a couple of raccoons, pigs, and a corgi. Since raccoons are nocturnal, the best time to go to Blind Alley is towards the evening. Admission into the raccoon room is free if you order an item from the menu. On the menu, they have coffee, tea, smoothies, and small snacks. Like many of the other animal cafes, the dining area is separate from the animals.

7) The Galápagos
Inside the modern but earthy cafe, you will find a tortoise, bearded dragons, and sugar gliders. Feeding, touching, and playing with these animals is allowed, but the ambiance of the cafe encourages you to enjoy their presence as they roam around the open space. The admission fees are included in the drink prices; so, don’t forget to try the coffee during your visit because they are known for their MSG Latte! The MSG Latte itself does not contain MSG; instead, it is made with fermented coffee base and sugar.

8) Bunny Café
This Alice in Wonderland themed Bunny Café sets a bright, positive atmosphere as you cuddle up with fluffy bunnies. Admission is 6,000 KRW for 30 minutes or 9,000 KRW for 1 hour. If you wish to give snacks to the bunnies, you can purchase some for 2,000 KRW. After leaving the Bunny Café, you will be left with a warm and fuzzy feeling inside.
