DANCE DANCE Around the World: DAY6 Covers, Part 2 🎶

Throughout the years, Korean rock band DAY6 has covered popular songs from some of our favourite international artists. They are a multicultural group themselves--Jae was born in Argentina and raised in California, and Young K (a.k.a. Brian) attended all four years of high school in Canada. Thus, it's no surprise that they have an appreciation for many genres and music from all over the globe!

Check out one or a few of their many covers of pop hits from around the world:

• “Put Your Records On” by Corinne Bailey Rae

Five guys told me I don’t need to worry and put DAY6 on. I love this rendition of “Put Your Records On.”

• “Bad Day” by Daniel Powter

‘Cause you had a bad day and you sing a sad song with DAY6 just to turn it around. Anyone else have to jam out to some DAY6 every Monday ever?

• “She Will Be Loved” by Maroon 5

Maroon 5’s “She Will Be Loved” is a favourite song of many and can conjure up many nostalgic feels. Let DAY6 take you on a trip down memory lane.

If you’re a Maroon 5 fan, check out these covers of “Sunday Morning” by Young K and Jae. They also covered “Lost Stars” from the drama film Begin Again, originally performed by Maroon 5’s Adam Levine.

• “I’m Not The Only One” by Sam Smith

I know I’m not the only one who loves both Sam Smith and DAY6.

• “Happy” by Pharrell

After a few sad songs, it’s time to cheer up and get happy with this cover by Pharrell’s most famous song!

• "Stop and Stare" by OneRepublic

Stop and listen to DAY6’s cover of the OneRepublic classic that they performed for KBS Cool FM radio station. If you like this cover, check out their cover of OneRepublic’s “Good Life” too!

• “Love Yourself” by Justin Bieber

We’re reliving the “Bieber Fever” with this cover of Justin Bieber’s hit “Love Yourself,” and if you really want to soak up the nostalgia, check out DAY6’s seductive cover of “Baby.”

• “All Of Me” by John Legend

All of me loves all these DAY6 covers. There’s two different covers of “All Of Me” for you John Legend fans to check out!

• “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran

I don’t know about you, but I’m going to be loving DAY6 'til we're 70, and my heart could still fall for them as hard at 23. They also covered Ed’s “Shape of You!”

• “Just The Way You Are” by Bruno Mars

DAY6 is amazing just the way they are with this beautiful cover of the Bruno Mars’ classic!

• “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi ft. Daddy Yankee

Last but not least, the boys let us know they aren’t just bilingual with Korean and English, but they can throw some Spanish in the mix and be trilingual with their singing. DAY6 gave their unique touch to the hit song with an acoustic cover during promotion for their first World Tour “Youth” in 2018 for South America.

As you can see, DAY6 has covered a lot of our favourite songs and this isn’t even all of them. They continue to come up with more new and unique renditions of popular classics, whether it’s at one of their concerts or while promoting during a visit with a radio station.

If you can’t get enough, Jae actually had a YouTube channel (before DAY6 and the infamous JaeSix) in which he posted a variety of covers.

Here’s my personal favourite, “Toxic” by Britney Spears.
