Stray Kids Bring the Heat with English Versions of 'Double Knot' and 'Levanter'

Stray Kids have released their first official English tracks on Step Out of Clé, which includes English versions of “Double Knot” and “Levanter” from their mini album Clé: LEVANTER, released December 2019.

Both songs carry deep meanings that Stray Kids would like to relay to their fans: “Double Knot” invites one to tie their shoelaces twice and run without fear towards the world. “Levanter,” on the other hand, talks about moving on from “perfect conceptions” of the world and focus on reality.

The single was teased in a surprise announcement on January 9 that Stray Kids would be dropping something on January 24. The picture read: “2020.1.24 Coming Soon.” The sudden news took STAYs by surprise, and caused the fans to come up with speculations on what would be released. On January 14, a teaser photo revealed the members in a dark and cultural setting among traditional Korean architecture, giving STAYs a glimpse of the music video for the English version of “Double Knot.”

The EDM, hip-hop and trap elements of “Double Knot” are a perfect match to the atmosphere of the music video. Although “Levanter” does not have an English music video, the lyrical hip-hop ballad is available on Stray Kids’ official Spotify.

Coming soon after the English album release, Stray Kids will be embarking on the United States leg of the District 9: Unlock World Tour, also making stops in Southeast Asia and Europe. It's highly likely that they will perform the English version of the two songs.
