Stick Around for these Pepero Cakes that are Sweet Enough to bring Home

How about some cookies with your cake? As filling a dessert that cake can be on its own, the added reward of chocolate-coated cookies has us saving room for more. Best of all, there’s no need to wait to find a bakery churning out these sugary treats. If you can bake a sponge cake, you can make a Pepero cake.

In its classic form, the cake is round and surrounded by Pepero with a pretty bow tied around it like the gift of deliciousness that it is. Don’t worry about picking a special limited edition flavor of Pepero, just go with what you like since, in this case, your only limit truly is your imagination. Experiment with flavor combinations or use the Pepero as inspiration to enhance the flavor of the cake. No one will complain about an Oreo-filled cookies and cream cake with cookies and cream Pepero dancing around it--and if they do, that’s simply more for you to enjoy!
