Places K-pop Fans NEED to Visit When in Korea!

Exploring Korea can be a difficult and daunting task if you’ve never been before. Trying to fit in all of the places you want to see, but not knowing where to start can make your trip more stressful than it needs to be. If you’re a K-pop fan, there are some places that NEED to be checked out on your trip! Now, I’m not saying these are the only places around Korea for K-poppers, but they are definitely some of the most sought-after spots that tons of fans visit every day!

Hallyu K-Star Road

WHERE: 407, Apgujeong-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul

This famous sidewalk is filled with bear statues, known as GangnamDol, with names and logos of various K-pop groups. Many fans walk this path taking pictures with their favorite groups’ bear, and even stop by some of the merchandise stores to buy merch. Some of the bears you can see when walking through are EXO, Girls Generation, 4Minute, Super Junior and SHINee! Along this sidewalk, you can also stop and see some of the top entertainment company buildings including SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and Cube Entertainment.

20 Space: The Mint Universe Cafe

WHERE: 83 Achasan-ro, Seongdong-gu, Seoul

If you love Cube Entertainment or any groups from the agency, then this cafe is the spot for you to visit! In Seoul, Cube Entertainment has created a cafe in the first floor of their building. As soon as you step into 20 Space: The Mint Universe Cafe (formerly Cube Studio Cafe), you are welcomed with a cozy yet modern aesthetic. There are many places to sit and enjoy beverages and food, do some work, and you can even watch the latest music videos by Cube Entertainment artists.

G+ Star Zone

WHERE: B1 Level, 402 Apgujeong-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul Apgujeong Rodeo Station

This indoor space inside of Apgujeong Rodeo Station is dedicated specifically to Korean pop culture. Here you can go visit life-size cutouts of K-pop artists such as GOT7, Jay Park, and Shinhwa. Along the way, there are different points where visitors can donate money that goes to the underprivileged, and then go around to the different exhibits dedicated to the artists that are featured inside this space.

Moonshot Cosmetics

WHERE: 30, Eulji-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea

If getting makeup inspired by K-pop idols your dream, then this store is made for you! K-pop fans' imaginations come to reality with this cosmetic store. With BlackPink’s Lisa as their main spokesperson, YG Entertainment launched Moonshot Cosmetics in October 2014, allowing fans to shop for makeup that helps them achieve edgy K-pop idol looks.

Lotte FITIN Mall

WHERE: 264 Eulji-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul

If you’ve missed the latest concerts by your favorite JYP or YG artists, then look no further for your next stop than Lotte FITIN Mall! Here, you can visit a K-Live event that shows hologram performances of your favorite performers while they are in concert. Not only can you watch concerts, but you can also buy some merchandise, or even take a photo with some of the entertainers that are in the K-Live event at Star Photo Box.

While these are only some of the places you could visit on your Korea trip, they're some of the best places to explore if you’re a K-pop fan! Getting to experience these locations might even make you feel closer to your favorite K-pop groups and idols.
