Here at The Daebak Company, we recognize the trust you place in us when we deliver your goodies to your doorstep from Korea. As we continue to monitor Coronavirus (COVID-19) developments closely, there is nothing more important to us than the safety, health, and well-being of our members, employees, partners, and community. As such, we wanted to reach out and share the steps we're taking to do our part.
- We are checking all daily updates from the WHO and the Korean government and updating our processes accordingly.
- We are continuously educating our team members and fulfillment partners on all safety measures.
- We are conducting heavy cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing of all work surfaces and areas regularly.
- We require all our team members to follow simple, but practical steps such as frequent handwashing.
- We have added extra hand sanitizers throughout our facilities.
- All team members are working remotely 4 out of 5 weekdays.
The Korean government is confident that its approach, characterized by full transparency, pre-emption, and prevention, is working. There are more people tested per capita than any other country in the world, currently, at 20,000+ tests a day, examining not only patients showing symptoms but everyone who has been in close contact with confirmed cases. 99% of people are wearing a protective mask (to protect others and themselves), there are hand sanitizers in elevators in every building, stores, and offices, and no one is panicking, or stocking up (I guess that we're used to threats from the North!). The number of daily additional confirmed cases has been decreasing in Korea since early March, which is giving us some hope.
The WHO has made it clear that it is safe to handle a package, even if it comes from a place where the virus has been reported.
Finally, we are working around the clock to ship your orders according to schedule, while also maintaining fair practices for our amazing fulfillment team, who have already been working overtime. I would like to personally thank you for your patience if your order takes longer than usual to arrive.
We will, of course, continue to monitor this situation closely over the coming days and weeks. With new restrictions and limitations coming out daily to help contain the spread of the virus, we'll make sure to communicate in real-time and adjust accordingly.
