There's a long day ahead of you, so if you want to get through it all in one piece, these are the essentials you need to bring to KCON LA!

Welcome to KCON Los Angeles! It's hot, and we're not just talking about the weather and lack of ventilation in the L.A. Convention Center! The weekend is full of amazing performances, activities, and of course, snacks from your favorite 'Fever! 😀 Here are some tips for the weekend. Most important of all, drink lots of water, and take breaks when you need them. You're going to need the energy, especially for the evening concert!
You've gotta pack light. You’re going to be doing a lot of walking around, and no one wants to lug a bunch of junk around. Plus, you’re going to be picking up a lot of freebies around the convention, so make sure you leave plenty of room in your bag for your new goodies! Bring a cell phone charger, preferably a portable battery pack. If you’re a serious KCON goer, you’re probably going to use a lot of phone juice. Chances are you’ll want to take several photos and videos. Having your phone is also helpful for other reasons: KCON attendees are going to be active on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and Tumblr throughout the event. So basically, everything. Many are also looking to sell, trade, or give away vouchers for concerts, tickets to special side events, Red Carpet passes, or just want to let fans know where their favorite idols are at any given moment. Bottom line: You'll probably be using your phone quite a bit, so come prepared. If you have a portable battery charging pack, make sure it's full of juice and pack the cable, too. If you're bringing a camera that isn't your smartphone, make sure you also have extra memory cards, camera chargers, etc. for that as well!
Have something to pass the time while waiting in line. Many lines... There will be lines. It would be nice to have a little something to kill the time. Maybe print off a K-pop crossword puzzle? Catch a few Pokemon? The Internet may be slow because of the amount of people. So maybe it's time for you to get off the phone and meet some new faces! We're all at KCON for our love of Korean everything, so just start talking! Wear Comfy Shoes. Look, I get it, you need to wear that super fly (and super uncomfortable) pair of heels to the concert at night. But I promise you that before that, you’re going to not have your feet fall off. Put that pair of flip flops in your bag. KCON is a day-long marathon of walking around and waiting in line. You want to be focused on all the fun stuff, not your aching toes.
Have a bit of extra money on hand. You’ve probably already shelled out for tickets, but KCON is full of vendors with all kinds of K-pop goods and apparel that you may be tempted to buy. A lot of vendors accept credit and debit cards. But be prepared with some cash in case one of your favorites doesn’t, or if you find a fan who is selling their concert ticket. Stock up on water and snacks. You’ll be able to buy some food inside, but again: lines (and prices). Plus, you’ll get stuff for way cheaper if you pack a little ahead of time. If you are hungry for Korean snacks, though, come by the SnackFever booth. We'll be giving away FREE snacks, and we're always happy to see our Family's faces, too! We're RIGHT next to the dance workshops, so if you feel a need to burn off the snacks or replenish your energy after a dance session, swing on by!
