New Daebak Intern: Tiffany

Hey everyone! My name is Tiffany, but all my friends call me Tiff! I’m currently a sophomore at UC Berkeley, majoring in Data Science. I’m originally from Southern California, so this Bay Area NorCal lifestyle is very new for me. Though I love the weather and city life here, I definitely miss all the good food and boba SoCal has to offer. To get to know me better, here are some fun facts about me! I have three dogs (and I miss them all very much). I have a twin sister :o. And, my favorite color is yellow!

I joined Daebak as an intern because of my interest in the spread of Korean culture and being part of the Hallyu wave. My interest in this topic actually stemmed from my grandma’s love for weekday Korean soap operas. I grew up watching these dramas with my grandma, mom, and sister, and I slowly fell in love with the variety of K-Dramas out there. I don’t watch as many shows nowadays, but I still enjoy the occasional recommendations from my mom of the new dramas she thinks that I will like. Let me know if you have any good recommendations!

My favorite part about exploring K-Culture is being able to see the similarities and appreciate the differences it has to my culture. With The Daebak Company, I hope to not only learn more about some behind-the-scenes work that goes into producing K-Content for fans, but also immerse myself in a team of people working together to achieve a common goal. I know that I’ll gain invaluable experience here, and I can’t wait to get started!
