New Daebak Intern: Elizabeth

New Daebak Intern: Elizabeth

Hello! My name is Elizabeth, and I’m from California, USA. I currently attend UC Berkeley, where I’m studying computer science.

I’ve been interested in Korean culture since I was young, and I was first drawn in by K-Dramas. I found them generally to be well-written, reasonably-paced, concise, creative, and incredibly well-acted, and I couldn’t help but fall in love with both the genre and the culture they depicted. Later, in high school, I also began listening to K-Pop, which showed me how beautiful artistry could transcend even language barriers and reinforced my enjoyment of the culture.

Learning about other cultures, in my opinion, is essential for connecting with other people and expanding one’s worldview, and Korean culture is one of the best places to start. From its rich history to emphasis on tradition to its national holidays and more, Korean culture is bound to have something of interest for everyone. It’s for this reason, in fact, that I chose to apply for The Daebak Company—in addition to being associated with preexisting hobbies of mine, The Daebak Company provides me with the opportunity to help share this fascinating culture.

I’m so excited to be working with this team, and I can’t wait for all the memories I’ll make and experiences I’ll have while I’m here!
