Annyeong friends! I know everyone loves snack time - perhaps even more than actual meal time. My house is full of little snack foods, and I noticed that I was buying seaweed chips the most. These crunchy and salty chips hit the spot every time - and they're healthy, too! This is how I feel about my snacks! This is how I feel about my snacks. However, recently I found a way to make these at home! I was so excited when I found this out. Some may call me simple, but I thought that seaweed chips were something that was basically impossible to make in your kitchen. Here are some of my favorite recipes.

Korean seaweed chips (Gim-bugak: 김부각) by Maangchi

This recipe is for those who want that extra crunch (and don't mind the few extra calories from the rice paste and deep-frying ?). These seaweed chips can be very addicting, as they have the perfect combination of crunchy, crispy and salty. Your friends will love you after feeding them these. You can even make prepare a dip for added flavor experience!

Light and Fit Seaweed Crispy Chips by Jessica Seinfeld

This version is healthy and vegan-friendly version of seaweed chips! These chips are still salty and crispy, but a bit healthier than the above option. These chips may not be as crunchy either, but they are definitely still big on flavor! They are a great light and airy standalone snack or a great addition to my bowl of hot ramen.  This is one yummy, healthy snack that you would not have to force them to eat.

Ingredients

  • Roasted seaweed sheets
