K-Pop Covers of Classic Christmas Songs
It’s finally December! You have likely begun decorating for the holidays, pulling out the tinsel, hanging the stockings and mistletoe, and wrapping gifts...
But did you remember the most important part of setting up for the exciting winter festivities? Yes, hot cocoa is a must, but so is a playlist stocked full of Christmas music so to really get in the holiday spirit!
You probably have a few mandatory Christmas songs for your playlist, like “Jingle Bell Rock” or “Last Christmas,” but you have also probably heard a few versions of these songs one too many times.
So, why not refresh your Christmas music playlist this year by combining both your love for Christmas tunes and K-pop?
Here is a list of top ten covers of classic Christmas songs by some of our favourite K-pop artists:

Several of your favourite groups singing a variety of your favourite Christmas songs, including “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “White Christmas,” and “Feliz Navidad!” What a perfect way to spend the holidays.
Apink covers “Last Christmas” popularized by 80s English pop duo Wham! because, unfortunately, not every holiday season is free of heartbreak. To hit your holiday feels even more, the girls begin the performance by paying homage to Love Actually!
This is so much fun to dance to too!
3. Lyn, Kim Tae Woo, Hwanhee
These three come together to perform “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” which was first introduced by Judy Garland in the 1944 film Meet Me in St. Louis.
4. NCT Dream
NCT Dream gives their modern spin with a medley sorts of both “Joy to the World” and “Jingle Bells!” Can you think of a better fun-loving group to cover these two fun and joyful Christmas classics?

GFRIEND does one of the cutest covers of the macaronic song, “Feliz Navidad” that I have ever seen--including choreography!
9. Girls’ Generation, SHINee, and f(x)
Beginning with a Christmas version of Girls’ Generation’s popular song “Gee,” they, along with both SHINee and f(x), perform “Jingle Bell Rock” together! There is just something so heartwarming to see some of my favourite groups perform Christmas songs together.
10. Nayeon (TWICE)
TWICE's Nayeon covers a modern Christmas classic by Ariana Grande, "Santa, Tell Me" for reality survival show Sixteen. This song could possibly be considered the sequel to "Last Christmas?"
