Food Tour with SEVENTEEN 🍦

Ever wonder what your favorite K-celebs are eating lately? Look no further than their social media! The familiar faces we know and love from Korean entertainment occasionally turn to SNS to share photo-worthy foods, delivering a double helping of aesthetics and taste, and giving fans a closer look into what they’d most likely be found eating for lunch. Let’s take a trip through treats from Korea and beyond, and who knows? Maybe we’ll find our next spark of snackspiration!

SEVENTEEN is a thirteen-member group under Pledis Entertainment, and while the group only debuted a mere four years ago, they have secured their place high on the charts and in our hearts! SEVENTEEN has not only made themselves popular in the music world, but have also shared their interest in all things food on their social media accounts. Read ahead to hear about the foodie favorites of nine members of SEVENTEEN!

MINGYU

  • Mint Chocolate Chip from Baskin Robbins

To mint chocolate or not to mint chocolate? That is the question... Looks like Mingyu is a fan of this controversial treat, as he proudly displays his scoop of mint chocolate chip Baskin Robbins ice cream in this cute selfie! We hope he was able to enjoy more than just this tiny cup, but what do you think? Are you team mint choco or do you prefer something sweet and fruity?

HOSHI

  • Barbeque (Honbap)

While sitting down for a meal without a partner to share it with may be quite daunting for some of us, Hoshi is not afraid to venture into the great outdoors alone. This is called “honbap” (혼밥: eating alone) and is a recent trend among young people in Korea. It looks like he’s enjoying his barbeque nonetheless, and we are so inspired! Catch us following in his footsteps soon, but don’t worry—we’re just participating in honbap!

S.COUPS

  • Steak

Sometimes the only thing you need after a long week is to sit down with a nice, juicy steak—S.Coups can definitely relate! We’re glad he was able to relax after all the hard work he’s done for the group, and it looks like Mingyu tagged along for some fun and games!

JOSHUA and DK

  • Tteokbokki and Kimbap

Tteokbokki (떡볶이) is a popular and convenient Korean street food, made of chewy rice cakes covered in a spicy sauce. Here, Joshua and DK are enjoying this delicious snack with kimbap (김밥), a sushi wrap filled with rice, vegetables, and meat or seafood. This is a great combo that we highly recommend trying if you ever get the chance!

SEUNGKWAN

  • KAKAO FRIENDS Ramyun

The only thing better than a hot, steamy bowl of ramyun is a hot, steamy bowl of ramyun covered in KAKAO FRIENDS. Here, Seungkwan is enjoying a bowl of ramyun-beokki, or ramyun with tteokbokki flavoring. We hope he had a chance to crack into the Apeach ramyun stacked high in the background, yum!

THE8

  • Red Wine

SEVENTEEN is no stranger to a long work week, and what’s a better way to relax than with a cool glass of wine. The8 is pulling at all of our heartstrings with this sophisticated pic, complete with blazer and dimmed lighting. Drink responsibly, everyone!

DINO and VERNON

  • Seaweed Soup

We always love an outing for Korean food with friends, and Dino and Vernon surely agree! It looks like they’re enjoying some seaweed soup for their birthdays, which are only one week apart! Seaweed soup is a traditional Korean food, usually enjoyed on birthdays. It is known for its incredible health benefits and is often fed to mothers after childbirth as well as in traditional settings. What’s your favorite birthday celebration food?

We hope you enjoyed this food tour with SEVENTEEN! The boys are not shy when it comes to trying new foods, and we hope this has inspired to venture out of your comfort zone and try some new items on your plate. Which of these SEVENTEEN members’ favorites are you itching to try, and what do you think Jun, Wonwoo, Woozi, and Jeonghan are snacking on? Let us know down in the comments!
