Because they are considerably shorter than other television shows, Korean dramas are perfect for binge-watching, and since a lot of them revolve around romance, they are perfect for this holiday.

Strong Woman Do Bong Soon (Strong Girl Bong-soon)

If you have ever feared that you need to change yourself for your crush, this is the perfect drama for you. Do Bong Soon (Oh My Ghost’s Park Bo-young) is an incredibly strong and independent girl who wants to impress her crush, who is a police officer named Guk Doo (Ji Soo). With her super strength, she becomes a bodyguard for a rich and spoiled CEO (Park Hyung Sik), causing life changes and blossoming love in unexpected places. This drama is the perfect pick-me-up for anyone who has doubts about themselves, and offers the perfect amount of humor to anyone who needs a laugh as well.

I’m Not a Robot

What would you do if you had to pretend to be a robot for someone who is allergic to humans? Chae Soo Bin gets to play Jo Ji Ah, a girl who ends up having to pretend to be a robot for her ex-boyfriend’s company. She gets sent to Kim Min Kyu’s (Yoo Seung Ho) house and has to live as a robot who is getting tested for its intelligence. Little does Kim Min Kyu know, he has been living with a human being all this time. As the drama unfolds, secrets are revealed and new types of relationships are formed.

Splash Splash Love

Looking for something that’s maybe not sixteen episodes long? Check out this two-episode drama! Although shorter than the typical Korean drama, this show covers a lot of time.  When a modern-day student Jang Dan Bi (Kim Seul Gi), is on her way to take a dreaded college exam, she slips back in time and ends up in the Joseon era. In this odd series of events, she has to keep herself alive and forms a unique relationship with the king (Let’s Eat’s Yoon Doo Joo). Realizing she has to go back to her own time, she becomes conflicted and lost. This short, two-hour drama still packs an amazing love story perfect for someone who doesn’t have a lot of time.

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo

Need something that shows the youthful side of love? Then check out Weightlifting Fairy! This drama shows the difficulties college students face while trying to reach their goals and finding love. Kim Bok Joo (Lee Sung Kyung) is more fragile and insecure than she’ll let her strong physical traits show, while Jung Joon Hyung (The Bride of Habaek’s Nam Joo Hyuk)  experiences the effects of a traumatic past. This drama focuses on two childhood friends as they reconnect in college and find a bit more in each other than just friendship. This coming-of-age drama is perfect for those who love the cheesiness of youth romance.

Coffee Prince

Although a bit old, this classic drama is loved by many fans.
